The health and wellbeing of our nation sits firmly at the heart of our vision. Walking football in Wales is, at its core, about inclusivity, opportunity, community, social engagement and physical and mental wellbeing for all ages and abilities. We will build a brand synonymous with this exciting vision.
Walking football in Wales
Our mission is to continue to rapidly grow walking football in Wales and become an international exemplar providing evidence of the health and wellbeing impact across our communities and nation.

We do this by:

Growing the number of clubs in Wales that play a central role in their communities from 50 to 100 by 2026
Engaging the people of Wales and increasing the number of participants from 1500 to 3500 by 2026
Professionally organising the sport at club and national level, enhanced by our affiliation with the Football Association of Wales
Developing training and education packages to provide skills development in leadership, management and finance, coaching, refereeing, administration and physiotherapy
Building our partnership with the FAW and other international organisations, as well as creating new partnerships with educators such as Universities
Developing the national teams, professionalising their organisation and coaching thereby enhancing their chances of success at international tournaments
Aligning our activities to the Future Generations Act and other initiatives that reflect fully our ambition to make walking football a major sport in our communities as part of a sustainable and comprehensive approach to the nations health
Setting standards and values that ensure we build a sport that holds itself up as a moral compass to all involved, and delivers inspiration and aspiration to the people of Wales
Transferring the unique skills required to play the game to other forms of football at all age groups by engaging with the schools and clubs
Encouraging people of all ages to take up a sport that can bring joy, friendship, and health for many years.
