Only one week to go before the Winter Nations Walking Football Tournament kicks off at The University of South Wales Sports Park

With a total of 84 players in seven different squads, host nation Wales will be hoping to continue their success in the Winter Tournament. 

 

Having been winners of the men’s over-60s competition at the first ever Walking Football World Cup, the Welsh squads have been training hard and will be looking to emulate that achievement. 

The Wales squad has a number of players who have competed at Welsh Premiership level, hailing from across the country, from Anglesey in the north and Caldicot in the south. 

 

This being the first international tournament to be held in the country, the Wales team are delighted to be meeting so many players from across the globe including teams from countries such as Australia, The Caribbean and Sweden to name just three. We are excited to be able to welcome old and new friends to a day of camaraderie and pleasant competition and wish all teams the very best of luck.
